NEUROFEEDBACK IN the BAY AREA, CA.
YOU’RE READY FOR A NEW APPROACH TO THERAPY.
If you’ve tried therapy, medication (or both) and still don’t feel like yourself, you’re not alone AND you’re not out of options. Neurofeedback is a non-invasive approach that works directly with your brain's electrical activity to support lasting change. Rather than replacing what's already working in your care, it works alongside your existing treatment, targeting something most treatments don't reach: the brain's own capacity for self-regulation. Think of it as creating the right conditions for your brain to do what it already knows how to do. Neurofeedback simply helps it remember how to get there.
Your brain produces electrical signals (AKA brainwaves) that reflect both the deeper patterns in how your nervous system is organized and the moment-to-moment fluctuations in your inner experience. These patterns can shift and become stuck in response to many things (trauma, chronic stress, developmental experiences, neurological differences) and when they do, we feel it. Neurofeedback provides real time feedback that allows your brain to reorganize itself toward building the kind of stability that allows for flexibility — a nervous system that is regulated enough to weather difficulty without shutting down or spinning out. Over time, with repetition, the brain begins to sustain these on their own.

ILF (Infralow Frequency) Neurofeedback
ILF works at the slowest end of the brainwave spectrum — below 0.1 Hz — governing the brain's foundational regulatory networks: mood, arousal, sleep, and stress response. It's particularly well-suited for complex, chronic presentations including developmental trauma, dysautonomia, and treatment-resistant mood disorders. Many clients who felt "too complicated" for other treatments find ILF to be a turning point.

EEG-Guided Neurofeedback
EEG-guided neurofeedback uses a quantitative data to identify specific patterns of over- or under-activation across brain regions. Protocols are tailored precisely to your neurological profile — highly individualized and data-driven. Commonly used for ADHD, anxiety, cognitive concerns, mood disorders, and peak performance.

What It Can Help With
Neurofeedback has been studied and applied across a wide range of conditions, including:
Anxiety and panic
Depression and mood dysregulation
PTSD and complex trauma
ADHD and attention difficulties
Sleep disorders
Chronic stress and burnout
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-concussion symptoms
Autism spectrum presentations
Chronic pain and somatic conditions
Peak performance and cognitive optimization
I will always be honest with you about where the evidence is strong, where it is emerging, and whether neurofeedback is likely to be a useful part of your care.

Who it’s for
NEUROFEEDBACK MAY BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU IF…
You've tried therapy or medication and still don't feel like yourself
You're living with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or ADHD — especially when other treatments have only partially helped
You're dealing with the effects of trauma, including complex or developmental trauma
You experience chronic dysregulation: sleep disruption, emotional reactivity, brain fog, or feeling perpetually "on" or "shut down"
You're curious about addressing root causes rather than ongoing symptom management
You're a high-performer seeking sharper focus, resilience, or cognitive optimization without medication

Understand
Begin with a thorough clinical intake — not just your symptoms, but your full history, your nervous system patterns, what you've tried, and what matters most to you. For EEG-guided neurofeedback, I'll conduct a EEG to create your individualized protocol.
01
Train
You'll sit comfortably while sensors are placed on your scalp — no needles, no discomfort. Sessions run 30–50 minutes. Not all sessions look the same. ILF neurofeedback is a largely passive experience — you rest and let the feedback do its work. EEG-guided sessions are state-dependent, meaning your mental and emotional state in the moment shapes the training. I'll guide you in finding the right quality of attention — engaged but not forced — and we'll adjust together as we go.
02
Evolve
Neurofeedback isn't a quick fix — and I won't pretend it is. Most people notice subtle shifts within the first several sessions, with meaningful change emerging over time. I track your progress regularly and adjust your protocol as needed.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Neurofeedback tends to work best as part of a broader care plan — alongside therapy, medical treatment, or other support — rather than on its own. Research is promising, and growing. That said, results vary from person to person, and scientists are still working to understand exactly who responds best and why.
Neurofeedback has decades of research behind it, with the strongest evidence base in ADHD, epilepsy, and PTSD. The American Psychological Association has recognized neurofeedback as a Level 1 ("best support") intervention for ADHD. Research continues to grow across other conditions. I'm transparent about what the evidence shows and what remains under active investigation — because you deserve an honest picture, not a sales pitch.

This varies meaningfully by individual and by what you're working on. Most people need a series of sessions over several months before noticing meaningful change — this is brain training, not a quick fix. Progress tends to be gradual, like building physical fitness.
Many people notice initial changes within 10–20 sessions. A full course of treatment often ranges from 20–40 sessions— though for the complex, chronic presentations I specialize in, 60 sessions or more is not uncommon, and is often where the most meaningful work happens. I'll give you my honest clinical estimate after your intake, and revisit it regularly.
